TASK: We were assigned to measure and document a historical / heritage building and translate all the data into a set of drawings,and a model. Along with the drawings and model,an analysis report and photobook were to be submitted too,in order to complete the project.For the presentation,a website and video were also required. Along with the measured data and recordings,we had to individually produce 20 sketches of the building.The sketches were to show physical and intangible qualities and characteristics of the building. REFLECTIONS: Completing this assignment helped me to undertake the responsibility of producing accurate drawings which could be used in the future. From our observations on site,we had to identify the different architectural elements (exterior and interior) that had been adapted to the site to best serve the practical and functional needs of the local community as compared to the similar building type found in another region,and how local technology, materials, climatic conditions, history, culture and beliefs influenced the design of this building.
