 TASK: In a group of 4,we were to select a building and to study the function of the building type and how its serves the community within its vicinity. From our observations on site,we had to identify the different architectural elements (exterior and interior) that had been adapted to the site to best serve the practical and functional needs of the local community as compared to the similar building type found in another region,and how local technology, materials, climatic conditions, history, culture and beliefs influenced the design of this building. PROJECT 1 FAMOUS PEOPLE, FAMILIAR FACES DIAGRAMMATIC ABSTRACTION TASK: In a group of 5,we were to produce a complete set of architectural drawing of the selected project (private residence) on A3 size tracing paper. We were required to investigate and formulate our findings into a set of 5 models(6x6x6 cm). The models had to be precise and informative to express the analysis of the ideas hidden in the project assigned.Using no more than three colours,the models had to be well crafted and beautifully made to rest on a A3 MDF board. Our given architect was,Mario Botta.
